MARIA STEN TO CO-STAR AS LIZ TREMAYNE IN DC COMICS' "SWAMP THING"

Maria Sten is set as a series regular opposite Crystal Reed in Swamp Thing, the upcoming drama series based on the DC characters created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson. The project, which hails from James Wan’s Atomic Monster in association with Warner Bros. Television, is set to premiere in 2019 on the DC Universe streaming service.

CHANNEL ZERO ON SYFY SETS CAST FOR SEASON 4

Maria Sten is set to star in the fourth season of Syfy's horror anthology series Channel Zero from Universal Cable Productions, written and executive produced by showrunner Nick Antosca.
Maria will also be joined by cast members Brandon Scott, Steven Robertson and Steven Weber.

THE BLACK LIST / WOMEN IN FILM EPISODIC LAB FELLOWS ANNOUNCED

Maria Sten is one of the six women writers selected for the 2nd annual Episodic Lab, created by The Black List and Women In Film. During a four week workshop, lab fellows will be mentored in script development and Master classes, as well as working in the writer's room.

FINALISTS FOR ATX TELEVISION FESTIVAL'S PITCH COMPETITION ANNOUNCED

Maria Sten is one of ten finalists for the ATX Television Festival's Pitch Competition and will be pitching her pilot "THE COURIER" live in Austin in front of an industry members panel with representatives from HBO, Bad Robot, Carlton Cuse Productions, Amblin Television and the Black List, to name a few.

FINALIST FOR ATX FESTIVAL & THE BLACK LIST TV WRITING PROGRAM

Maria Sten has been selected as a finalist for ATX Festival & The Black List's annual TV Writing Program with her pilot script "THE COURIER." 

The pilot script will be sent to studio/network partners at HBO, Bad Robot, Carlton Cuse Productions, Amblin Television, Okay Goodnight, Hazy Mills Productions and Kilter Films for staffing consideration this season.

Maria is also a semi-finalist in the ATX Festival's pitch competition with the same project.

MSK VISIONS KICKS OFF 2017 WITH "WILD THINGS RUN FREE"

The first film of 2017 is the concept short "Where Wild Things Run Free" from MSK VISIONS. The film shows the journey of a woman's heartbreak to healing through art and nature, told as a visual spoken word poem.

"Where Wild Things Run Free" is an MSK VISIONS produced short film.

"When It Burns" - written, produced, directed by Maria Sten - was accepted in to LA International Short Film Festival and had its Los Angeles premiere at LA Live on September 6th, 2016.
Maria Sten also stars in the movie alongside "The Mighty Ducks" alumni Aaron Schwartz.
